The tester runs a series of tests on the CMU-212 and the AMU-214 to verify that the units function in accordance with the AASHTO/ITE/NEMA Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Standard Specification for Roadside Cabinets.
The the tester is controlled with software that runs on a Windows (XP or higher) based computer. The tester connects to the computer via a USB connection.
For all devices that pass the tests, a Certification Test Report is compiled which includes, the date and time of the test, the device identification or serial number, and a listing of the tests that were ran.
ATSI also provides calibration, maintenance, technical support, and training for the tester. Software and firmware updates for ICMT-4000 are provided free of charge, for the life of the tester, to ensure that the tests remain current with any revisions or changes to the above mentioned specifications.
